The Mission Statement of the Greensburg District of the United Methodist Church:

To assist, educate, and energize local churches to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

The Vision Statement of the Greensburg District of the United Methodist Church, over the next quadrennium, is to:

Discover – Ensure that existing United Methodist local churches are healthy, growing in professions of faith and strategically positioned throughout the Greensburg District.

Stretch – Increase the United Methodist presence within the Greensburg District by developing new ministries and communities of faith.

Lead – To create an environment where people can live out their passion for Jesus Christ.

Go – Increase local church involvement in mission, justice [such as racial inclusion and accessibility issues] and outreach ministry, locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.

Connect – Improve the relationship of local churches with their communities and other United Methodist Churches, and the Annual, Jurisdictional, and General Conferences to enhance the quality of life for God’s people. In recognition of our United Methodist connection, it is expected that all local churches will pay at least 100% of their Mission Share.
